Dear VIP users,

Welcome! Given the constant expansion of the VIP community, I would like to clarify with this message the best way to reach out depending on the nature of your inquiry. As a general rule, all announcements, general inquiries and suggestions should be channeled to the Discussion section on GitHub, while identified bugs/issues should still be reported in the Issues section. More specifically, please refer to the following cases and associated recommended actions:

• You have detected a bug, but are unsure about the best course of actions?
  => please check you have updated to the latest version of VIP, if the issue persists, feel free to report it in the Issues section.
• You have detected a bug and have implemented a working solution?
  => please submit a pull request from your fork of the repository. If needed, we may be able to iterate from the pull request.
• You have a new idea/suggestion to improve VIP (whether you have already implemented it or not)?
  => please open a new discussion in the Ideas category. Depending on the outcome of the discussion, this may lead to a new thread in the Issues section, a new item in the development plan, or an invitation to submit your contribution as a pull request.
• You have a general inquiry about VIP (e.g. can a specific task be done with VIP? Why is VIP not installing on my machine)?
  => please first check the following FAQ. If the answer is not there, feel free to open a new thread in the Q&A category.
• Nice result obtained with VIP?
  => Feel free to open a new discussion in the Show and tell category and show off your results!
• Another message which does not fit in any of the previous categories, but which may be of interest to all VIP users?
  => Feel free to open a thread in the General category.

Proceeding in the above way should minimize the response time - as any experienced VIP user may be able to help. Please avoid contacting me directly by email, as you may experience slow response times.
