design for version 1.0 build of kubetest

As with most projects, this one started as a mix of a bit of fun and a narrow(er) use case that has since grown to be more generalized. Some of the initial design decisions make it more difficult for the project to grow, and make it more difficult for some desired features to be added.

This issue is to track some of the features, considerations, etc which will inform the core development of the version 1 release. I'm sure that large swaths of the inner workings may need to be rewritten to accommodate these necessary features, so it makes sense to spend some time collecting thoughts, features, and ideas which could be incorporated. Better figure most of it out now than to have to do another major rewrite anytime soon.

This issue is a meta-issue to track all these features/ideas.
