If you asked yourself how to archive multiple systems on your Thinkpad without getting in any trouble if some grub, OC stuff goes crazy.
Just install a second internal NVME hard drive in the WWAN slot of your Thinkpad and choose the boot drive with the F12 key while booting.
It's a littly tricky to find a suitable NVME stick in a small form factor which supports only 2 instead 4 PCI-E lanes.
Currently these sticks are sold as new for a good price from some companies who upgraded new lapops for thier customers.
This one works pretty well for me:
SN520 256GB NVME M.2 2242
There is also a 512GB version of it.
