Error message Invalid channel is shown for Chrome Windows with ledger interactions:

Error message that says Invalid Channel

Possible Solution

Display an error message with the workaround listed below?

Workaround

Disable the new-usb-backend and use the old version:

  1. Paste this in the Chrome URL bar: chrome://flags#new-usb-backend
  2. Change it to be Disabled if it shows up as Default enabled.
  3. Chrome will refresh

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

  1. Obtain a windows machine with Chrome 87+
  2. Plug in your ledger and attempt to import an xpub
  3. Note obscure error message
