Determine an accurate model for drag on the Sub. A starting point can be linear drag. Ideally, this process will be automated.

Example usage story:

Put Sub into water
Run drag program, which applies forces and observes the max velocity achieved at this force
When done, the program spits out the linear drag coefficient for x, y, z, pitch, roll, and yaw.
