Description: CN translation 中文翻译?

#1242

I would like to work on the Chinese translation in my spare time as I found it very helpful towards beginners and I want to spread it out to more Chinese programmers.

Do you guys have like a list of contributors? As I think it may help on my cv as well, but if not, it's fine for me.

Hi @KingJacM,

Thanks for being willing to contribute to this repository, it's really encouraging. We used to let Crowdin list the contributors but this doesn't appear to be public anymore, so we will in future list the contributors of approved translations on this page: https://csfieldguide.org.nz/en/appendices/contributors/

I'll also look into getting someone to review your translations to we can have these published on the website.

Thanks heaps,

Jack

An issue has been created for listing translation contributors directly to our contributors page (#1246).

I will now close this issue, but regardless please add any comments/questions you may have to this issue.

For any other visitors to this issue, please see #1085 for an explanation of how translations are organised for this project.

Hello:

I have finished some chapters of Algorithms with some help from the translator to improve my productivity and rephrased the text to ensure accuracy. Do you want to review it at this stage and give me some feedback? @JackMorganNZ

Thank you.

Hi @KingJacM,

Thanks for your continued diligence towards this project! It may be a while before we can have someone check your translations, especially with disruptions around the ongoing pandemic. In the meantime I skimmed through your edits and can offer some feedback on the technical side of things:

Please be careful and make no changes to text that shouldn't be translated. We try to keep technical syntax out of view from the translators but sometimes it is unavoidable. For example I see a few of your translated strings include glosse-link and glossy-link that need to remain as glossary-link. There are exceptions but a good rule of thumb is "if I can read it on the csfg website, it should be translated"

Thanks again

Hello:

We have finished translating most of the chapters and is finishing up on the remaining (about three chapters), could you give it a check recently and tell us how did we do? @eAlasdair @JackMorganNZ

thank you

Hi @KingJacM,

Thankyou for your patience, we really appreciate the contributions you've made and will try to find a reviewer as soon as we can, but unfortunately it may take some time.

I will reopen this issue as its concept has changed.

Hello:

Since it is the start of a new semester and level 1, is it possible for you to let someone review our translation?

Thank you very much
