Steam fails to keep me logged in at Boot and "Return to Game Mode" Help?

Describe the bug

Fresh install on HP Victus. install was good and i made sure to update all my apps and do a software update, with reboot after each step to make sure everything works before moving forward. but steam wont "remember" my login. everytime i a boot the OS i have to re-login into steam. "Returning to Game Mode" doesnt work. just makes the screen go black and yes, i have to relogin into steam.

What did you expect to happen?

I expected to log in the one time

I am facing the same issue: ASUS G15 AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX with Radeon Graphics - 32 GB DDR4 Memory -AMD Radeon RX6800M

I am also sadly experiencing this issue.

Gaming Mode doesn't boot AT ALL on any SteamOS recreations on my Victus at the moment, it just hangs on a black screen or the boot screen.

Whether I trigger it from power-on or in Desktop Mode.

It started happening to me only last week. I tried a clean reinstall and it didn't help.
