Appindicator extension causing audio/video stutter

Just a heads up that the appindicator extension is causing audio/video stutter for a number of people. Go into the extensions manager app, look for "AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem" and turn it off like you see here:

This will revert you to the stock background applet thing in the dropdown menu:

I'll update this when the issue is resolved.
