dividing the paned to monthly vertical bands

Hi

i am looking to update the panel window that shows the vertical bands for each month like a color yellow from band Jan- Feb(vertical) , and color green from feb -mar, again mar-apr yellow..... can this be done.

I'll look into this. I've been adding classes to create alternating
colors (odd and even serial numbers), but I could see adding
classes in the rendering of the ticks for months, too.

Let me see if I can quickly add that...
