Problem you are trying to solve

If I decide on notification of an email, that I want to delete it I want to be able to do this as quick as possible. Currently I have to tap the "delete" button and then, the unnecessary step of confirming the deleting is necessary.
Compared with other Email Apps like Gmail this is really weird and feels unnecessary.

Suggested solution

A holistic deletion concept for the app should be done (inbox, mulitple, notification delete,...) and then a decision should be made, how the deletion is as safe as possible for the users. In a notification I decide on my own with very few information about the email content that I want to delete it so I'm quite sure that it can be deleted. I even expaned the notification to see the delete button if I have multiple notifications at that moment.

Considering that there's still the bin where the deleted email goes to, a confirmation is not necessary from efficiency usability perspective and affordance.

There might be other user needs about deletion but it would be great if a opensource solution is equally good in terms of usability as commercial products. I'm happy to get into exchange or support with the deletion concept from UX perspective.
