If the server is not running, the app will not be able to send pictures to the server. What's the error you see when you run python src/tbp/monty/frameworks/environment_utils/server.py?
Also, did you see this note in the readme? "For streaming to work you need to go to the system settings of your app and change the URL to your local wifi IP address."
I ran the server with the command you give, and got no further messages from it. I had gone into my iPhone Settings/Apps/MontyMeets/World & set Monty URL to my Mac's URL.
It shows up in the "Got unsupported URL", with "/rgb.png/depth.data" appended to it
