UI delay when configuring a tor bridge

When configuring a tor bridge and clicking connect, the UI returns the empty tor bridge list. This led me to try a few more times.
I then gave up and was about to continue without bridges but suddenly they appeared after at least 10 seconds. This points to a (probably low priority) UX issue rather than a functional issue e.g. missing spinner.

Expected: if the format is valid, it should list the bridges immediately when connect is pressed.
