In a stacking WM,

Although the program correctly docks to the top of the screen and prevents maximized programs from overlapping it, it also shows up in the task list as a normal window and is minimizable from there.

@ARR8 What environment are you in where this is causing problems. Can you provide an example of a similar application that behaves as desired?

JWM. Some programs I use which don't appear in the task list are sagb/alttab and kupfer
