We might consider outputting some form of metadata (perhaps a YAML file) for users' future reference. I believe it would be useful for users to be able to reference parameters like DAGMC volume and surface IDs, tetrahedral source strengths, etc.

We can write a .cub file if that's helpful but I was also thinking something that can be directly accessed via Python (hence YAML) that follows some predictable structure. That way we can have some utility functions that can load and interpret the metadata for use in OpenMC scripts, for example
