User Story

As a user, I would like to be able to turn on a feature that allowed me to automatically save tabs opened in a session for example when researching a particular topic and I want to

  1. Maintain the history of the search for referencing.
  2. Safeguard the effort in case of a crash (yes, even today, processes do crash)
  3. Because I am lazy and automation is my saviour ( HAHAHA!!)

Thanks Stefan, great tool because of the attention to detail and usability (not saying it is perfect, but much better than a lot of the competition).

I would also like numbers two and three. Number one would be nice but it's not important to me personally. :)

Actually, it seems like number two and maybe three might already be implemented? #16

This could be implemented by creating a new section at the bottom called "previously open windows" and every closed window gets put there, up to 100 or so windows, auto delete oldest, after first 10 windows have "show more" button. Could save currently active windows to 2 separate alternating files on every new tab so in the event of a crash the windows could be sent to the "previously open windows" on relaunch. Auto disable the latter feature if the Firefox built-in "open previous tabs and windows" is enabled.

The Chrome history option normally allows you to open previously opened tabs, and you can quickly re-open them with ctrl+shift+T
