I am not quite sure yet, what the best path to migrate is.
The changes that need to be done when migrating are not trivial, they might introduce bugs that do not seem obvious, a lot of changes need to be applied.
I want to be confident about huge changesets - therefore typing seems to be a basic requirement.
Typing the whole codebase does not seem feasable for a single pull request.
