Become a sponsor to silby
I've made two major and a number of minor to pandoc in 2024:
I contributed an ANSI terminal writer for colorful terminal output with clickable link support. It's pretty neat!
I contributed a reader for the mdoc
language, used by many man pages, especially those originating from the BSD world.
I am also the maintainer of the pandoc port for OpenBSD.
I'm in a position, for the time being, to contribute a lot of labor hours to pandoc, my favorite piece of software. Your sponsorship could help extend the amount of time "the time being" lasts. Otherwise I'll probably spend some of my time applying for jobs, which isn't as exciting.
Here's a random list of stuff I have in progress and ideas that are floating around:
- Support for images in
ansi
output using the Kitty and iTerm2 graphics protocols - Allow users to configure the output of the
ansi
writer - Improving memory usage when parsing Base64-encoded data: URIs
- Reworking pandoc's own documentation to make it easier to maintain and ship more of it in manpage format
- Add an
mdoc
writer - Add a plain TeX writer, a longstanding request
