I'm Shayan, a software engineer interested in innovative and impactful ideas on how to improve the way we do development like functional programming, sound and expressive type systems, etc. and of course languages on the BEAM.

In recent years I've been involved with developing some packages for the Gleam programming language which I've always thought(and still do) has the potential to bring all the interesting ideas in the Erlang/OTP ecosystem to the forefront of our industry so that more people can benefit from them. I've also contributed to the language itself and still try to find ways to be useful to the community.

As an Iranian developer one of the constant struggles is to have a good balance between the performance and agility of the tools we use with how modern they are simply because an economy in distress, always turns more inwards and conservative. Your support could mean the difference between having and not having a BEAM community in Iran.
