Typing is slow! Why?

In version 0.3.15 — the first release — entering a tweet was slow. This should be resolved as of 0.4.2. Make sure you’re running the latest version from the App Catalog. We missed this performance issue due to speed differences between the emulator tool and devices.

When Spaz refreshes my timeline, it sometimes freezes for a few moments. Why?

The rendering of new messages wasn’t done as efficiently as it should be. We should have an update out shortly that improves rendering speed (probably the week of June 17, 2009). Like the typing speed issue, we missed this due to speed differences between the emulator tool and devices.

Why can’t I upload pictures to services like TwitPic or Twitgoo?

Palm’s APIs don’t currently support file uploading for third-party applications. We expect this to be fixed soon, and when they do we’ll support photo uploading.

What happened to the “New Search Card” option?

We pulled this in version 0.4.2 because of problems with memory leaks that Palm engineers found. We will be restoring the option as soon as we can sort out how to do it without affecting performance of the device overall.
