It would be nice if there was an option to not specify the cipher and just let scp use it's default cipher.

Also it would be good to stop using scp and use only rsync. The maintainers of ssh have deprecated scp.

Use rsync for all transfers

The ssh maintainers have deprecated the use of scp.
By removing the use of scp there is no longer a need for a cipher
argument.

uses rsync now as an option, need to make that work for the md5 transfer as well
