rofi-wayland does not register keyboard input

Steps to reproduce:

$ rofi -show drun -no-config | wl-copy

Using default niri configuration.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I have no idea what causes it, but i don't think it's my fault? I'm not gonna close this though. But i don't have much to add, so i'd gladly have someone else find the root cause.

Did this work previously (e.g. with niri 0.1.5 or earlier)?

Additionally, for anyone else coming across this, i recommend something like wofi which i believe is very similar to rofi. I use fuzzel but it has less features.

The latest release (1.7.5+wayland3) from lbonn doesn't work with niri, but it's patched in the latest source in their repo if you build it yourself.

this is the specific commit that fixed it.
