When there are many faint targets along with a bright one, sometimes while fitting the smaller targets the fitting takes all the faint target into the position of the bright one, resulting in multiple extractions of the same bright target.

In the case reported by @Allonck the reason was the large number of comparison lamps and as a result on spectrum is solved for wavelength with each available lamp as there is no method to combine comparison lamps and we don't see much value in implementing a comparison lamp combination method.
