Manticore slowdown when lots of menu cells are updating

Summary

When doing a large number of menu cell updates, manticore faces massive slowdown to the point of un-usability. Clicks stop working, and seem to rapid-fire respond later.

Reproduction Steps

1. Use the iOS Smoke Tester app (internal to Livio)
2. Go to "Screen Manager - Main Menu"
3. Press "Menu - Forward" then "Menu - Reverse" several times.

Expected Result

The UI remains responsive or is only slow for a short time

Actual Result

The UI is not responsive and is slow for an extended time.
