Quite randomly whilst away from the house the active presence simulation that had previously been turned on, turned itself off (11:44:42).

Logbook

Turned off triggered by service Home Assistant Core Integration: Generic turn off

I have seen this happen before but had not investigated. Looking at the Logbook no other entries at or around the timing.

Not sure if related but as you can see at the time of departure the 3 entries at 09:43:27

Is this a bug?

I can confirm on this occasion however that switch.presence_simulation was in fact still turned on, and as it should turned off correctly when I later returned home.

Are you sure it is not caused by wathever automation enable/disable the switch when you leave/come back?
The only case where the simulation restarts itself is after the period you set. If you ask the simulation to look 7 days in the past, it will restart itself after 7 days. Could that be your scenario?

Worked for quite a long time from my automation without any problems, has only happened over say the last month, but I had no time to investigate. As you can see on and then off are at the same timings so effectively I leave my home, a number of actions take place (like activating my alarm), no other instance of this happening. Effectively the time that I am away can sometimes only be a short while, so PS should not restart.
At the moment on the last few occasions, this issue has not occurred .
I will continue to monitor, if it happens again I will strip it out of the existing automation and make it a new straightforward automation on its own
