Tomographic interactive environments

Prerequisites

Unity AND/OR Python AND/OR Houdini

Workflow

Use python script to generate PLY files from 3D tiff

PLY -> Houdini to make beautiful images/films or to export meshed OBJ for unity

PLY or OBJ -> Unity to make standalone interactive environments on any platform

Controls for the Unity experiment

1 - show pointcloud
2 - show all 3D meshes
3 - show flesh (mesh)
4 - show veins (mesh)
5 - show capillaries (mesh)
Tab - toggle movement between section plane and sample object
LeftMouseClick - take measurement (WORKS BEST IF YOU ARE IN VIEWS 3-5)
MiddleMouse (hold) - pan
MiddleMouse (hold) + rightMouse(hold) - rotate
MiddleMouse (hold) + rightMouse(hold) + control(hold) - zoom
h - hide/show cutting plane (only viewable when looking at meshes)

all measurements saved to C:/unityOutputs
