Traditionally, Shoelace has had a "last two major versions" support policy for evergreen browsers. We may expand this a bit for Web Awesome, but IE 11 has never been on the list of supported browsers for either project. It's worth noting that support for Internet Explorer ended on June 15, 2022. While I realize some organizations may continue to use it against Microsoft's advice to switch to Edge via "Internet Explorer Mode", it doesn't make sense for us to target that browser as many of the modern APIs we use would need to be polyfilled and a handful likely can't be properly polyfilled. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but hopefully these orgs are able to stop using an unsupported, antiquated browser sooner than later! |

Hi
Specifically, I have a requirement for an app to be run in a corporate environment where for various reasons they have legacy computers with IE 11. Those computers can't be updated or replaced and are limited to corporate network only - so no public internet (for security reasons). I'm considering using web-awesome for the internal application that those computers will access - among other users.
I'm wondering if Web Awesome (or Shoelace 2) is a good option, and can be made to work on IE 11 through some polyfills? I know IE 11 supports custom elements through shadow DOM generally speaking, the question if WebAwesome will work in IE 11
