Hi,

It's been a while that this project is not active. I would appreciate it if you can provide an update about the status of the project.

Thanks

We are currently using the ref system in projects internally. Not much has needed change which is why there hasn't been recent commits. Are you experiencing any issues with the project?

Thanks for the answer. The main reason that I asked that question was this line in the README file.

A production version of the SharedStreets Referencing System and a global data set will be released soon. During the preview phase, referencing data can be generated using open source tools for any location.

This project is very interesting! I'm getting more familiar with the OSM, and other GIS tools and understanding how SharedStreet is solving the issue of map referencing.
Does this project have any roadmap that you can share with us? It would be great to write some lines about what's missing and what's being developed that other people can contribute more.

Thanks

Hi @russbiggs et al. I am also interested in finding a project to contribute to for building a multi-API traffic routing system for the OSMAnd Android navigation app. My idea is start with a proprietary source, like https://www.tomtom.com to build out the plugin and routing engine to gain user adoption and project inertia, but doing so in a way that the TomTom API could be swapped out for regional or federated services based on the otv2-platform or the sharedstreets-ref-system. For that part, I would like to start with a working system that can consume user route times and provide traffic calculations for new user routing requests based on that. Is this project or the otv2-platform or something else still the best place to get started? Thanks.

@yekibud This project is no longer active. I'd encourage you to look at alternatives like https://overturemaps.org/ FWIW TomTom is a member of that organization.
