getting bad packets in log?

I just got a RS-4 Only installed and it's mostly working!! I am starting to see weird entries in the log however...

I notice these are persisting even as I restart the aqualinkd process.

Packet errors are usually wiring problems. But I also noticed you are using the default config, you should try ti use the serial logger to get a set of IDs to use

So, it seems to be sending/receiving data alright and it was working fine w/o any error logs until suddenly...What is serial logger and what do I do with the IDs? Was this in the docs and I missed it? Sorry if so!

The info is in the wiki, sorry I can’t link it as traveling so on mobile. From the logs it looks like aqualinkd is resetting the RS interface, so it’s more serious that a few packet errors.

So it looks like 0x0a is considered not used, so I guess that's not the issue? I also see this block in the config:

Yes you should uncomment the rssa id line and 0x0a is also good.

you should also check the wiring on the RS485 buss as well (due to the errors in first post). There is a section in the wiki on things to check wiring wise.
