Just came to check on issue #303 as it's been over a year now. And looking at activity in GitHub, it's... well... non-existent. No commits. No response.

Just wondering if this project is still being supported.

I would say yes. Yes it is so. Unmaintained at the moment

On hold until I can free up some time to go through all these issues. I definitely plan on continuing work on this.

Could we get at least compatibility with the current dnspython version merged? I believe #302 should just work fine.

Any views on this project to get at least security patches? There's a CVE-2023-29483 on dnspython up to version 2.6.0 (but 2.6.1 is the actual remedy). ipwhois expects no newer version than 2.0.0, so it is affected anyway.

Updated in dev branch. Working on some other issues before pushing to pypi.
