Using Seurat V5 with non-10x genomics datasets #9175

Hi, the only thing needed to create Seurat object is data where rows are genes and columns are cells. You can provide this data.frame or matrix to CreateSeuratObject. It shouldn’t be different than in prior versions of Seurat. Best, |

Hi everyone,
I am so sorry if this question has been asked a lot already, but I have not yet been able to find the answer (I am quite new to this):
Since the update Seurat underwent to V5, is it still possible to use that for datasets that are non-10x Genomics?
My dataset worked fine with V4 but I can't even read in my count tables using V5.. For a while, I happily kept using V4, but now I want to use some analyses for which V5 is required. And of course the million dollar question: If possible, how can I modify my Counttables to be suitable input for V5?
Thanks so much in advance for any input!
