Enhancement Request: Ability To Load Files From S3, NFS, Etc.

Not sure if I should file this under this project or the GUI but I'd like to see the ability to load files to a project from S3, an NFS share or similar.

As the server is designed to run in AWS (Or conceivably another production location), it would be easier to load the video to S3 or a fileshare of some type and point the server to those files as part of the project setup as opposed to what I assume is transferring the files from the client to the server today (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm just thinking of how this could scale to days worth of video or large multi-GB files (HD video for even a short duration).
