https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5554662 should also have i-ort "Andersson i Södergården" (https://portrattarkiv.se/details/sj9PGLAlnmUAAAAAABgbRw). Otherwise, he will be confused with this MP: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5553810 + https://portrattarkiv.se/details/sj9PGLAlnmUAAAAAABgbhA |
@fredrik1984 Q5776520#P102 feels like a mess with "parties" without dates... any other sources /thoughts
|
@Lottabrorsson Thanks Wikidata can handle more facts that contradict each other and we then do a decision that normally is based on the source with most trust get preferred or as in this case the sources that is from the time nearest the event - the death book Q10478639 in this case --- I have updated P570 with the death book link swe eng se longer post about mismatches Wikidata <-> Riksarkivet SBL that we track and could be accessed by Riksarkivet with SPARQL
|
I simply think that exact "party" dates are missing because there were no clear-cut shifts when someone "left" a "party" and "joined" another. I think that the stated years in bio books build on approximately for when MPs joined different "lists" and when they voted for proposals that these "lists" favored. But I will start to ask my historians colleagues about this! Maybe we can at least get a better name for "party" in Wikidata when it comes to the 19th century. |
I had thoughts before to add sourcing circumstances P1480 I tried to match Andreas Önnerfors, Mystiskt brödraskap – mäktigt nätverk: studier i det svenska 1700-talsfrimureriet with a WIkibase instance from Gothia University FactGrid were I felt the trust of the match should be documented see T266745 |

@fredrik1984 lesson learned is
I add pictures I don't find with no value Nota Bene the search engine on SPA don't work good with pictures with a lot of text so sometimes they can be difficult to find... |
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5768483 missing exact "end date" for the period 1882-1886: 1886-12-27 |
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5609230 missing party: centern |
@Lottabrorsson Which centern is it ? SPARQL textstring "centern" The wiki article Eugène Clairfelt dont help us... |
@Lottabrorsson is right here: we use the bio books as the bible. @salgo60 if you look at the "hierarchical party tree" in the beginning of the books, you see that there was a "party" called "centern" 1873–1882. Which of course should not be confused with the current centerpartiet! |
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3054681 missing end date 1881-03-30. Party: in biografibandet it says "FK:s konservativa grupp" |
I think we need some good curated data. Wikidata needs some good sources,,,,

@salgo60 I just created my Wikidata account! It was easier than I thought to edit dates and i-ort. I suggest @Lottabrorsson and Mattias do the same. I think it will save us all some time. @salgo60 would it be of for you to fix the posts above in this issue? |
Moved above comment to #130
|
@fredrik1984 you can also Edit without an account... I am on my way out eating tonight but let me know if we should share screen tomorrow and I can show the gadgets I use to easier edit or connect pictures... also the Entity explosion plug-in that use WD to make it possible to jump between Twitter Libris SBL museums SPA Interesting I saw that someone cleaned the "vilde" object in Wikidata.... https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q108546388&action=history We also got a new vilde see https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q98545439&action=history |
Thanks @salgo60, but I think this will do fine for now! If I bump into something more tricky I will let you know! |
A question: how is it with A- and B-riksdagar? i can see that in Wikidata it´s only a year but in the bio it´s also, for example, "A". |
I don't think that is included in Wikidata, I have not seen this either. But it is something that our annotated riksdagen corpus should include. But I see that these appear in Wikipedia https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lista_%C3%B6ver_svenska_riksdagar @Lottabrorsson can you please explain the difference between A riksdag and B riksdag? I don't know this myself. |
Today its just as a textstring in Wikidata it would be great if you had an user case were this information is interesting, maybe we should have a reason why a new extra Riksdag started... In Tvåkammar-riksdagen 1867–1970 they add a letter B for Q5901685#P39
|
Sometimes they needed an "extra" riksdag, for example when something special occured. As you can see below, B-riksdag appeared after "new election" Here som short info, in Swedish: Från år 1941 förlängdes riksdagen med en höstsession (ej 1947) Urtima (extra) riksdagar kunde före 1941 sammankallas vid behov. |
ChatGPT TEI testFYI I did a small TEI test on some articles in the book using ChatGPT link inspired by Digital Humanities Craft OG ShEx
|
My thoughts that A-B Riksdagar should have a reason as Structured data
Denny Vrandečić who created Wikidata 2012 has often mentioned that he think Wikidata should be so good that it could explain why the First World War started.....
My experience is that Wikipedia is not the right place for doing more advanced things like that even though we have ONE Wikidata its often just > 300 Silos and the quality of Wikidata works for saying same as an article but doing more advanced linked data gets crazy complex in an open community if not impossible when not everyone has the same skills/ background... I see Wikidata just as a POC of that the technology is there and how a tool can start get people cocreate good data if people start trust each other
|
@Lottabrorsson FYI Robbin Linderborg has done most of the dates for parlament data in WD and he has not added a source... I guess different sources have different dates... In the beginning I didnt change the dates when I saw a diff now I have the approach that the book is the bible... and that I always add the book as the source and use the date we have in the book....
Example of dates diffsSBLTvåkammar-riksdagen 1867–1970Svenskt porträttgalleri / XXV:1. Riksdagens första kammare 1867-1904 (biografier af Albin Hildebrand)As we use qualifiers for start and end dates in Wikidata the wikidata modell cant support conflicting data in a good way.... |
I start this issue here so that we in the Swerik project can report missing MP info (iort, party, chamber etc) in Wikidata. We are very grateful that you are willing to fix these missing data @salgo60!
I post the first reports here in this post, and then plan to do one new post for each MP that has a missing Wikidata info that we need.
