If we could agree on a standard array metadata field (e.g., contrastLimits: [low, high], n5-view could use these values if the -c flag is not used. This would be super useful for datasets with negative values, where the default contrast limits are always wrong.

Definitely useful to have that. Paintera checks for min and max attributes.
