Another bug within tt_news for typo3 9: One of my websites is multilingual, but not all news are translated to all languages. Now, typo3 9 LTS site manager provides a so called "strict" mode. That means, only translated contents are displayed, other are ignored. That's exactly that one would expect.
In practice, the "ignored" contents leads to a white space for every ignored news, so sometimes the first readable message is displayed on page 3.

that should work with
plugin.tt_news.sys_language_mode = strict

Thanks, I'll try. By the way, we could talk in German too, but I suppose the forum language could stay English.
I suppose this setting should be entered in the constant area of the root template?

Ok. As far as I see, this problem is fixed now. You should know, on this website, we have some hundreds of news in the default language (German), but in the other languages (English and Polish) we have only a couple of translated texts (as already the Beatles knew, the week has only eight days !!! :-)
So, without this settings, the English speaking user had to browse through some empty pages to find the first translated news... or, as I suppose, he would give up earlier.

Thanks a lot for help, Rupert.
My other issue with the related news URLs is a little more trickier, I will do this in the later evening, for the moment it's still too much bustle around here...
