+# Morning briefings
+
+Each morning, please arrive in the [volunteer area](./volunteer-area) for 08:25.
+The morning briefing will start promptly at 08:30, and last for approximately 15 minutes.
+
+The briefings will consist of:
+
+-   The plan for the day
+-   Any items to note from the previous day (such as safety incidents etc.)
+-   An overview of where teams are at
+    -   This is to allow roving mentors to have an idea of which teams need extra support
+-   An opportunity for all volunteers to synchronise and raise suggestions/concerns

+We have booked room 59/1257 to serve as a volunteer area throughout the week; this is from 08:00 to 18:00 every day.

+The space is to be used for the following:

+-   A relaxed area for breaks throughout the day
+-   A place to store personal possessions, though you do so at your own risk
+-   Morning volunteer briefings

+# Volunteer structure
+
+Throughout the event, volunteers will be part of one of three groups:
+
+-   Assigned mentors
+-   Roving mentors
+-   Tech
+

+All mentors will be in the labs, tasked with supporting the students as they design and build their robots.
+Overseeing the lab will be the **Event Director**, Alex.
+
+Tech volunteers will be with the **Tech Lead**, Will, in SUSU, preparing the space for the competition on the Friday.
+The intention is that this will not take the whole week, so these volunteers will move to the lab once the venue is ready.

+As a volunteer, you will find your assigned roles in the published rota.
