build: --workspace (rust-analyzer default check) and -p risingwave_cmd_all doesn't share cache #17833

So under default setting, rust-analyzer first checks and risedev p/d is blocked. After it finishes, risedev p/d rebuilds.

possible solutions

  • (known to work) "rust-analyzer.cargo.targetDir": true: make them completely separate, and unblock each other. But waste disk and CPU
  • (?) Configure RA to use -p risingwave_cmd_all
  • (?) Change some workspace config in Cargo.toml to make --workspace work better
  • (?) Bring back hakari...
