I'm not exactly how its happening, not 100% sure it is rimpy. After I stopped using it though my problems seems to have went away. It seems to happen when I boot up the game with rimpy. As the game loads after I hit RUN with rimpy, I'll start to see the refresh button blinking. Sometimes it'll only be a few mods that have changed or sometimes i'll be a massive list that have changed. Then when I go to load my save I'll be missing mods. I'll have to resubscribe to tell to force a download.

This has been happening to me too for a while now. I actually stopped playing Rimworld because it was too frustrating to try and manage mods. After I came back and have start using RimSort however the problem has gone away like magic.

EDIT: I actually just had the same issue with RimSort so who knows what the issue really is.

I've done a bit more testing since I had the problem also occur with RimSort. When I tested I had the Steam download manager open on a second monitor and when launching Rimworld through both RimPy and RimSort the steam client would immediately start initiating downloads for workshop content. I checked the update log in RimPy to see what mods were updated and then checked the folders for those mods and saw the files were gone. This same thing happened even when launching the game directly through steam. I think this means we can conclude that this behavior is not limited to either of the mod managers and is a problem built directly into steam itself. I have no idea where to report this or I'd report it directly to valve.
