haroopad not opening files

When I try to open a markdown file on windows 10 (by double clicking on the file), it opens two haroopad exes, but no window comes up. I was using haroopad earlier today and now it seems to be broken. I've tried downloading the latest version and installing it. I've tried repairing my install. I even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Haroopad the program can open and I can then open a file from there, but double clicking a file is now broken. This is really frustrating.
