Steam Deck running 3.6.19 no longer manages to launch MinEDLauncher at all, nothing is created in the log, nothing happens at all - using the Konsole launch options.

Pasting the log anyway (I've tried to start it a few times from the folder w/o wine prefix defined, don't worry about those ones)

Installed Alacritty and used the Alacritty launch options and it worked, something's up with konsole.

+1 that something's up with konsole. Even trying konsole from flatpak on my desktop breaks, just with trying to do something like flatpak run org.kde.konsole ping google.com. How did you manage to get Alacritty on your Deck?

sudo steamos-readonly disable
sudo pacman -Syu alacritty
sudo steamos-readonly enable

Might need to redo on SteamOS updates

A less than ideal workaround until the konsole issue can be identified would be to run the launcher directly. You won't get a window showing you what's going on (can still check the log file to find out) but it will still run. You won't be able to provide it input so you'll have to use autorun and autoquit and you won't be able to use the restart feature.

So instead of konsole -e ./MinEdLauncher %command% /autorun /autoquit /edo, use ./MinEdLauncher %command% /autorun /autoquit /edo.

@Hollyrious I recently installed alacritty on my Steam Deck, though in game mode I get the same experience as if min-ed-launcher was launched without a terminal. This doesn't happen in desktop mode. Is this the same experience you're getting?

@dvdmuckle Just tested, same behaviour
