AngularStrap tabs + carousel not calculating width

I'm using the Tabs directive in AngularStrap (http://mgcrea.github.io/angular-strap/) and when the tab is opened and the carousel is revealed, the carousel container is loading as 100% width. Slides won't transition until after a resize event is triggered and the container calculates a new pixel-based dimension.

Any ideas, other than triggering a resize() event on tab click?

I'm observing the same behaviour in a simple container with width: 100% (in my case it's a .row-fluid from Bootstrap).
