App sometimes doesn't reconnect

When pushing the app into the background for a longer period of time, it loses connection to the scooter. When returning to the app, it does not automatically reconnect, but require users to manually click the "reconnect" button. This is not intended behavior, as the app should automatically scan for scooters every few seconds while disconnected.
