Incorrect citekey in display and export #2984
Comments
Displayed where? |
🤖 this is your friendly neighborhood build bot announcing test build 6.7.229.6975 ("back to force-load") This update may name other issues, but the build just dropped here is for you; it just means problems already fixed in other issues have been folded into the work we are doing here. Install in Zotero by downloading test build 6.7.229.6975, opening the Zotero "Tools" menu, selecting "Add-ons", open the gear menu in the top right, and select "Install Add-on From File...". |
In the Zotero UI, both the Citation key column and in the Citation Key field in the editor panel. |
Does 6795 fix the problem? |
Can you please test whether this build fixes the problem? |
I still see the error with the 6795 build. Debug log ID: I checked on another computer that shares this library (through the usual sync mechanism), and the error does not appear there (on the regular release of BBT). The working version is running on linux rather than windows, in case it's relevant. |

What happened?
I recently upgraded to Zotero 7 and updated BBT, and now the displayed citation key for some items does not match the pinned key in the extras field. It is instead taken from some other item (which itself has a key belonging to yet a different item...). This is not only a display issue, as the incorrect keys are also present in a JSON export.
Not all items have incorrect keys, but I can't see any pattern to which are correct and which are not.
