Windhawk (portable) installation 1.2 GB

Dear Team, I just updated to v1.5 and noticed that the complete installation directory is 1.2 GB heavy. This was already the case before the update, so the update as such did not change much. However, since the Windhawk download is only 135 MB (ok, this is compressed but still the factor is huge). I wonder if maybe I can delete some unnecessary temporary files or deprecated leftover files from older releases?

Note1: I'm using the Windhawk portable install with these 6 mods - Classic Explorer navigation bar, Disable grouping on the taskbar, Shrink Adress Bar Height, Taskbar Clock Customization, Taskbar height and icon size and Taskbar Labels for Windows 11.

Note2: Here's my current Windhawk folder tree (have been using/updating Windhawk since v1.0) - are there any directories or certain files I can delete without losing functionality, of course?

Hi, yes. First folders to remove would be all the folders inside AppData\Engine\Symbols. Make sure to remove the folders it contains, but not the Symbols folder itself as it has special permissions assigned to it. Windhawk 1.5 was optimized to avoid downloading symbols most of the time, so this folder isn't expected to grow as it did before.

The second folder to remove would be AppData\UIData. It contains cache files and settings for the UI part (based on VSCode), and, unless you made some customizations to it (if you're not sure, or you didn't use development mode, then you didn't), it's safe to delete this folder. It will be recreated on next launch.

Thanks for helping @m417z - I did as you told, and saved approx. half the storage space that windhawk had occupied. You could think about doing this step automatically e.g. during the installation routine. Just a proposal.

I'll consider it, although doing this is might disappoint some users who prefer to avoid downloading the symbols again and/or users who customized their VSCode preferences. But as I mentioned, it should be much better now with 1.5 as symbols won't be downloaded most of the time.
