The base container image contains an extremely outdated dfu-util (0.9), which is known to fail a big percentage of downloads on certain STM chips: see this ticket.
This actually caused multiple flash fails for me when using qmk-cli. Do you think upgrading either that package (would probably be simple enough given dependencies are close to identical between 0.9 and 0.11 packages) or the Debian version is a feasible change?

Pardon my curiosity, but what is the major issue with localenvs in the case of this image? Granted, I am not very well-versed in the Python world, but I would think pipx should be enough to tackle the use cases I am aware of.
