do you think we could write the unittests for this one? This is probably the 2nd largest collection next to the Bills. And it is extremely important. I recently spoke with a legislator about a particular bill I was interested in. Sadly, he said that the actual bill would never be seen. More likely, the content of the bill would be amended onto the end of another bill already moving through congress. That's why amendments are just as crucial to track.

We might need more than one person working on this one. BTW, these are the fields we can do text searches on:

All fields are guaranteed. All amendments should have an associated bill, an associated sponsor, and at least one action.

Text search fields

If the "search" parameter is passed to the API, a case-insensitive pattern match of the given string is applied to the following fields:
- description
- purpose
