IRC is not particularly convenient compared to more modern protocols due to not having server side persistent chat history and requiring a bit of explaining to new users.

gitter.im associates chats loosely with Github communities/repos and since Pysprings already hosts it's web presence in part through github this seems like an organic place to host chat.

Proposal: adopt https://gitter.im/pysprings/community as the official pysprings chat location

Oh ya, I logged out of irccloud probably a year ago and forgot about it until now. doh!
