Is my LYWSD03MMC bricked?

I am on firmware: 0x01023001. And I'm getting invalid image type, the same error reported here:

Does this mean without a UART cable this device is hosed? This particular firmware seems unstable and I noticed it's been removed from the downloads page.

And how does “instability” manifest itself?
Does MAC change after disconnecting the battery? If not, it means something else.

I did not create this version of the firmware.
The first beta versions with the Flash bug had a version up to "0.1.0.3".

Ok, weird. Do you think it could be a defective device? It seems I get the same invalid image error no matter which firmware image I try. The auto-downloaded ones from ZHA toolkit do this, and if I manually download them same result.

You need to use file:

If there is an error, then you will have to reprogram using the UART adapter.
