I'm using the sensor for detecting gas meter pulses and calculating gas consumption in Home Assistant. It works, but due to weak signal some open/close changes are missed causing lower measured values. I tried ESPhome Proxy, but it does not improve it (advertisements are often missed). The ultimate solution would be counting the pulses locally and transfmit the value. I noticed it is possible with some thermometers by adding a reed switch. Before going this way, I wanted to ask if there is any chance for a custom FW for the sensor. I have no idea what chip is used in the sensor.

Hi. Would it be possible to support the Xiaomi Mi Door and Window Sensor 2 (MCCGQ02HL)?
