I'm not sure what that would like though. Constantly having the menu that pops up when you hit tab appear at the bottom of the screen sounds lke it would be intrusive, wouldn't it?

bpython has this kind of functionality. It is a Python REPL which provides automatic as you type completion. You can see how it works in the video.

I think it's not possible in case of Pry, because bpython uses ncurses (and Pry doesn't).

Actually you could set a coolline.menu.string to a string like the one he's showing and it would display properly. Now you'd still need to be able to create those strings correctly.
