Hi,
I wonder if there is any official or community-provided binary package for mainstream distros (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc) for pktgen-dpdk. If not, I wonder if pktgen-dpdk maintainers would be interested in providing binary packages for mainstream distros or this is something they prefer not to do...

Thanks!

I do not have any binary packages for any distro, sorry. I also do not know what would be required to create these packages for a few distros. I do have limited time and if I was to create these packages it would need to be reasonable simple.

If you have any ideas on how I could find the information about adding a binary package I would be willing to read up on the process, but I can't say I will be able to add them. Thanks

I have experience with using Fedora COPR https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/
for shipping RPMs that people can use for Fedora/Redhat distros and their derivatives.
In order to enable that it's probably necessary to check into the git repository some supporting file... something like https://github.com/f18m/cmonitor/blob/master/.copr/Makefile

So I guess my question would be: are you willing to accept a PR adding such kind of support files ?

I would be more then willing to accept PR's for Fedora and I would like to have Ubuntu as well at some point.

Thank you for the PR in advance
